Makeup has been part of my story for as long as I can remember.
It started with quiet moments watching my mother go through her skincare routine, seeing the care in her hands and the intention behind every movement. I watched my sisters get ready, and I still remember the first time one of them did my makeup for my quinceañera, I was 15, and something clicked. It wasn't just about how I looked, it was about how it made me feel.
In the early days, makeup was something I used to cover up, to hide, to perfect, to blend in. That was back when I was living in Ecuador. But when I moved to Australia over 15 years ago, something shifted. I began to see makeup not as a mask, but as a mirror. A way to reconnect with myself, to embrace what I loved about my features, and to feel good in my own skin.
I believe makeup is a tool; not for transformation, but for amplification. A way to highlight your natural beauty, express your mood, and most importantly, reconnect with your feminine energy.
In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, achieve more, be more, makeup, like skincare, invites us to slow down, be present, and simply exist. It's not about superficial perfection. It's about self-love, having a ritual, and becoming the best version of yourself.
That's the energy I bring into every masterclass and makeup session. I always remind my clients that this is a space to rewire your beliefs about beauty. To stop viewing makeup as a mask and instead, start seeing it as an act of empowerment.
